Discover the Joy of Riding with Our Introduction to Horsemanship Program

  • Children ages 6 to 16 are invited to join our “Introduction to Horsemanship Program” Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3:30PM to 5:00PM
  • Each session is limited to five students. Students will be taught the basics of grooming, leading, tying, tacking, and beginner Western riding techniques. The six-session course is intended to encourage each student to become confident and safe around horses. Students will ride their assigned horses during each lesson, as well as work on the necessary groundwork and preparation for riding and caring for their horses. Gradually, students will be led on short trail rides, with the eventual goal of mastering a 60-minute River Trail Ride along and across the Santa Ynez River.
  • No previous riding experience is necessary.
